I usually hate brow pencils. I've used more brow pencils than I can count. In fact, I've used just about every brow product there is: crayons, inks, pencils, gels, pomades. You name it, I've tried it. The only brow products I've ever really enjoyed are the pomades from Anastasia and Benefit. The biggest issue I have with pencils is they just take too much work to build a beautiful brow. The pigments are never quite right, they are not precise enough, or they're so tiny it takes forever to get my brow filled in, they're far too dry, crumbly and break up when I use them, and it seems after 2 uses or 1 break and the entire pencil is gone. I have very sparse brows, and my eyebrow hair is naturally white blonde, but I use brow tints to get a nice brown as my hair is a dirty blonde, and I like the intense brow look. This means filling in my brows is a nightmare (especially as the colour of my brow is constantly changing) and is usually the longest step in my makeup routine. It used to take me 30 minutes just to get my brows filled in! It literally puts me off doing my makeup because it is so frustrating.
My partner got me a few LoungeFace products for my birthday last year, but I did not get much use out of them as I had major surgery, makeup was the last thing on my mind and doing my brows has always been a nightmare, so I just didn't want to deal with it.
And then I actually used the brow pencil for the first time. I genuinely COULD NOT believe how beautiful this product was. The colour is gorgeous, it's a bit light when my brows are freshly tinted but it's perfect after the colour fades a bit and still works when my brows are a little lighter. It took me a little while to get used to the different way of filling in my brows, and the look is different to what you get when using a pomade, of course, but once I got used to the different vibe a pencil gives, I fell in love with it. I almost exclusively use this pencil, and I will order a few more colours, not that I need to; I just love them so much. I fill my brows in almost every day now, regardless of whether I am putting makeup on or going out, it is so easy to fill my brows in now, and I love how it looks.
I love having a cover for the spoolie and how small it is. It's probably my favourite spoolie! The pencil is so creamy that it fills my brows in really fast, but it dries nicely so it doesn't smudge, and because it is so tiny, it makes small, soft hair-like strokes that blend out nicely so it is not super stark. The pencil has never been dry, never been crumbly and never broken. Even though I have used it daily for the past month and on and off for almost a year, I feel like I have not used any of the pencil. Sometimes, I wind it up to check how much of the pencil is left, and then I give up because there is so much left, and I don't want to break it.
Without a doubt, this is the best brow product I have used, and I don't see myself using anything else. I actually look forward to filling in my brows every day now, and I can't wait to get a couple more colours! I honestly DO NOT understand how anyone can rate this pencil below 4 * at least.
